--- res: bibo_abstract: - We give the first rigorous derivation of the celebrated Ginzburg-Landau (GL) theory, starting from the microscopic Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer (BCS) model. Close to the critical temperature, GL arises as an effective theory on the macroscopic scale. The relevant scaling limit is semiclassical in nature, and semiclassical analysis, with minimal regularity assumptions, plays an important part in our proof. @eng bibo_authorlist: - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Rupert foaf_name: Frank, Rupert L foaf_surname: Frank - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Christian foaf_name: Hainzl, Christian foaf_surname: Hainzl - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Robert foaf_name: Robert Seiringer foaf_surname: Seiringer foaf_workInfoHomepage: http://www.librecat.org/personId=4AFD0470-F248-11E8-B48F-1D18A9856A87 orcid: 0000-0002-6781-0521 - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Jan foaf_name: Solovej, Jan P foaf_surname: Solovej bibo_doi: 10.1090/S0894-0347-2012-00735-8 bibo_issue: '3' bibo_volume: 25 dct_date: 2012^xs_gYear dct_publisher: American Mathematical Society@ dct_title: Microscopic derivation of Ginzburg-Landau theory@ ...
